Membership FAQ

How are the membership dues structured?
The Fort Collins Area Chamber's membership levels are structured on a benefit-driven tiered system that allows you to choose a level based on support of our efforts and/ or benefits that you would like to have access to.

How often do I pay the membership dues?
Your Chamber dues are billed on an annual basis.

When is my renewal date?
Every member has their own anniversary date with the Chamber based on the month they join.

Am I billed the Administrative Fee every year?
No, the $30.00 Administrative Fee is a one time processing charge due on the day you initially join.

How many people attend your Business After Hours event?
The Chamber's average attendance for a Business After Hours event is 150-200.

How can my place of business host a Business After or Before Hours?
Our calendar is compiled every summer for the following year. Chamber members are eligible to apply to host an event at their place of business.  Please click here for a sponsorship and hosting packet.

Does the Chamber have any business development programs?
Yes, the Chamber has monthly Knowledge Bites seminars: our affordable lunch and learn series focused on marketing expertise. Chamber members specializing in marketing are also eligible to apply to be a presenter at Knowledge Bites. The Chamber also collaborates with other local agencies to bring workforce, education, environmental, and other important issues to a seminar format in the local community.

Does the Chamber have any committees I can join to get more involved?
Chamber members are eligible to serve on the Environmental Committee, our Red Carpet ambassador committe and our Local Legislative Affairs Committee based on seats available.  Please click here to see a complete list.

Does the Chamber have any networking opportunities outside of the larger, unstructured events?
The Chamber also offers Leads Groups which are opportunities to build relationships with a permanent group of members. Another smaller event is Speed Networking.  Speed Networking allows members a chance to meet up to 35 other members in 90 minutes and in the process hone in on their elevator speech. In addition to that, Connect For Lunch is a program designed to set members up for lunch with up to 3 other members once a week for lunch.  Please click here to learn more about which events are for you.

How can I reach the new resident market through the Chamber?
Members can reach the new resident and business market through the Chamber's lobby display rack, print and on-line directories, and option to insert in our relocation packets (extra fee for packet insert). Members are also included in our referral database for thousands of inquiry calls and visitors.

How does the Chamber get involved in local business advocacy?
The Chamber has a dynamic role in city, county, state and federal legislative action affecting business. Members of our Local Legislative Affairs Committee and Chamber staff regularly attend City Council meetings and meet in smaller settings with local officials in the interest of discussing business, adapting transportation solutions and achieving overall economic success for our region. The Chamber's Local Legislative Affairs Committee meets weekly to discuss such issues and also partners with other local Chambers and the Northern Colorado Economic Development Corporation to form the Northern Colorado Legislative Alliance Committee.

How can I brand my company name through the Chamber?
The Chamber offers print and electronic opportunities for exposure on the Chamber website, in a monthly and weekly newsletter. There are also event sponsorship opportunities.
