JUNE 21, 2011 - Burns Marketing Communications, northern Colorado's largest communications agency and one of the largest agencies in the state, shifted gears in early June to do some literal heavy lifting at Roundup River Ranch near Gypsum, Colorado.

A camp for children with life-threatening illnesses, Roundup River Ranch needed a little help getting the facilities ready for its first campers later this summer. Thirty-four Burns Marketing staff members spent June 3 assembling and moving tables and bunk beds, equipping the cabins with storage trunks and cubbies, and building boat docks.

“Our team is proud to support Roundup River Ranch in its mission to provide fun, empowering camp experiences for children with life-threatening illnesses,”¯ said Burns Marketing Communications President Mike Burns, who also serves on the Roundup River Ranch Board of Directors. “Every child deserves the chance to go to camp, and we're happy to help Roundup River Ranch make this possible for kids in the extended Rocky Mountain region.”¯

Roundup River Ranch's first session kicks off July 6. The camp anticipates hosting 160 children this summer and up to 30 families this fall.
