Brinkman Construction has once again partnered with a local apartment owner to complete the second phase of a new student housing project near Colorado State University. The project, The Lofts @ Campus, is located at 914 West Lake Street.
The owners of this future three-story, 28,000 SF apartment building also own the neighboring Ram’s Crossing @ Campus, recently renovated by Brinkman Construction, as well as four other Ram’s Crossing complexes throughout Fort Collins. This latest project will offer 36 units including one-bedroom studios, two-bedroom units, one-bedroom lofts and three-bedroom lofts. All units will have upscale finishes, 9’ ceilings, expansive windows, a washer/dryer and a patio or deck.
These new apartments will offer the closest off-campus housing to CSU. The location is perfect for a pedestrian-focused design, large sidewalks, seating areas, corner bike parking and possibly a Zipcar (hourly car rental).
The Lofts @ Campus will introduce tenants to a new design concept called Europods. This latest trend in student housing is a concept that centers on having a more open floor plan. To achieve this, some interior walls will be lower than the ceiling and some walls will be mobile, allowing residents greater flexibility in the interior design.
The four penthouse apartments will have steel spiral staircases, multilevel decks, and private hot tubs on the fourth floor with great views of the mountains and CSU. The stylish brick and stucco exterior and complex amenities, paired with the proximity to campus will make this a high-demand housing option upon its completion in April of 2013.
