How do other cities manage parking? What techniques and tools proved successful and what ones failed? As part of updating the City of Fort Collins' Parking Plan, an advisory panel of parking experts from around the country will visit Fort Collins for intensive analysis and recommendation workshops.  The parking panel consists of six experts, from cities like Tacoma WA, Boulder CO, Missoula MT, and Cedar Rapids IA, who are top professionals in parking, downtown revitalization and city management. Other cities that held similar panels gained many creative yet practical solutions to parking problems. No need to re-create the parked wheel here.

Meet the expert parking panel at public workshops at the City offices at 215 North Mason Street, in the Community Room.
- A morning or evening workshop to meet the panel and join the conversation on
Monday, September 26, 2011 at 8:15-9:15 AM or 5:30-6:30 PM.

- Then join us again for the panel's findings and recommendations on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, 8:00-10:00 AM.

The City's Parking Plan provides guidance to parking management and the City's parking program. The plan, last updated as part of the 2004 Fort Collins Downtown Strategic Plan, describes parking conditions and key problems, establishes guiding principles and policies, and recommends parking management and development strategies. It is an important tool to sustain and enhance the economic health of our Downtown.
