Brain Injury and the Benefits of Functional Neurology

Dr. Shawn VanWinkle welcomes you to the amazing world of functional neurology. In this enlightening presentation, he will share with you what functional neurology is, how it is very unique in today’s health care system and what it can do to help patients who suffer from brain injuries. He will also share with you how the functional neurological examination is approached and how that information is utilized to determine non-invasive therapies that are targeted to specifically stimulate activation of injured pathways, resulting in growth, improved connectivity and improved communication.

Shawn VanWinkle, DC, earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University in Marietta,Georgia, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He has also completed over 700 hours of post graduate study in the field of functional neurology through the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies. Within this program he has also received specialized training in pain management, neurobehavioral childhood disorders, vestibular rehabilitation and movement disorders. He is currently the owner of Body & Brain Chiropractic and practices locally inFort Collins,Colorado. Dr. VanWinkle is very passionate about brain health and is delighted to have the opportunity to share with you the benefits of functional neurology.
