FORT COLLINS, CO - Several community organizations, working with local government, are taking a hands-on approach to ensure that Fort Collins' primary employers stay put.
The Larimer County Business Retention and Expansion Survey Program is a collaboration of the Northern Colorado Economic Development Corporation (NCEDC), the Fort Collins Area and Loveland Chambers of Commerce and the Cities of Fort Collins and Loveland. The program has two goals: to establish relationships with primary employers in the community and to better understand trends occurring with primary employers.
“As organizations that work closely with businesses on a daily basis, we appreciate and understand how important primary employers are to Larimer County,” said NCEDC Director of Business Retention and Expansion Kelly Peters. “Our hope is that providing an electronic survey will help us reach a greater number of employers.”
Local employers are being asked to complete a short electronic survey available at: http://bit.ly/LarimerBusinessSurvey. The survey will help to better understand the needs of primary employers, barriers they may be encountering and opportunities for expansion.
Primary employers are especially important to the local economy because such companies pull at least 50 percent of their revenue from outside the region into the community.
